SEMH Teacher 

Location: Lymington 

Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS) 

Contract Type: Permanent / Full Time 

Start Date: January 2025

Responsibilities: 

As a SEMH Teacher, you will: 

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH challenges. 

  • Develop and implement personalised strategies to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development. 

  • Establish a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive. 

  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external professionals to create and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs). 

  • Promote positive behaviour management strategies and build trusting relationships with students. 

  • Assess and track students’ progress, celebrating achievements and identifying areas for further support. 

Requirements: 

As a SEMH Teacher, you should have: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with students with SEMH needs. 

  • A deep understanding of SEMH challenges and strategies to support student well-being and learning. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents. 

  • The ability to adapt and remain calm in a dynamic educational setting. 

  • A compassionate, resilient, and patient approach to teaching. 

  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
