SEMH Teacher
Location: Lymington
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS)
Contract Type: Permanent / Full Time
Start Date: January 2025

Responsibilities:
As a SEMH Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH challenges.

Develop and implement personalised strategies to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development.

Establish a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

Work closely with staff, parents, and external professionals to create and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Promote positive behaviour management strategies and build trusting relationships with students.

Assess and track students’ progress, celebrating achievements and identifying areas for further support.
Requirements:
As a SEMH Teacher, you should have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with students with SEMH needs.

A deep understanding of SEMH challenges and strategies to support student well-being and learning.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents.

The ability to adapt and remain calm in a dynamic educational setting.

A compassionate, resilient, and patient approach to teaching.

A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
