SEN Teacher  

Location: Fareham 
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS) 
contract Type: Permanent / Full time 
Start Date: January 2025

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher professional to support students with specific learning needs in Fareham. This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with special educational needs while working within a welcoming and supportive school community. 

Responsibilities: 

As a SEN Teacher, you will: 

  • Design and deliver tailored lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with special educational needs. 

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with staff, parents, and external professionals. 

  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth. 

  • Use innovative and adaptive teaching strategies to meet a variety of learning styles and needs. 

  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, ensuring each child reaches their potential. 

  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to provide the best support for students. 

Requirements: 

As a SEN Teacher, you should have: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience teaching students with SEN. 

  • Strong knowledge of SEN teaching techniques and strategies. 

  • Experience supporting students with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or physical impairments. 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching. 

  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
