Special Education Teacher 

Location: Winchester 

Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS) 

Contract Type: Permanent / Full Time 

Start Date: January 2025

Responsibilities: 

As a Special Education Teacher, you will: 

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with special educational needs. 

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with support staff and parents. 

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive. 

  • Use creative strategies to engage students and support their learning progress. 

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support for students. 

  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on students’ progress and achievements. 

Requirements: 

As a Special Education Teacher, you should have: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN). 

  • A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies, including differentiated instruction. 

  • Experience working with students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. 

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills. 

  • The ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic educational environment. 

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
