Special Education Teacher
Location: Winchester
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS)
Contract Type: Permanent / Full Time
Start Date: January 2025

Responsibilities:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with special educational needs.

Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with support staff and parents.

Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

Use creative strategies to engage students and support their learning progress.
-
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support for students.

Monitor, evaluate, and report on students’ progress and achievements.
Requirements:
As a Special Education Teacher, you should have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN).

A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies, including differentiated instruction.

Experience working with students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

The ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic educational environment.

A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
