Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Lymington
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join a supportive school in Lymington. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives, providing essential support for their emotional well-being and academic progress.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will work closely with students to help them manage mental health challenges, fostering resilience and promoting a positive environment for learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and practical support to students facing mental health challenges.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individual support plans.
  • Promote positive mental health and well-being across the school community.
  • Act as a point of contact for students in need of emotional support as their Mental Health Support Worker.
  • Work alongside teachers and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting mental health are desirable but not essential.
  • A compassionate and non-judgmental approach to working with young people.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Experience working in a mental health or support role is an advantage.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
