Are you an inspiring educator ready to guide and support a dynamic Year 5 class? GSL Education is looking for a passionate, skilled, and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join our team ASAP for an upcoming, long-term Teaching opportunity within one of our client primary schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of all students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Effectively mark and assess students’ work to track progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the class, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment both on-site and during off-site activities.
- Foster and promote the ethos and educational values of the school in all professional interactions.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the school curriculum.
About You:
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic teacher with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A degree or equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
- Primary Classroom Experience: Proven success working within a Primary school setting, with a solid understanding of the developmental needs of Year 5 or KS2 students.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the National Curriculum and how to adapt it to meet diverse learning needs.
- Assessment Expertise: Strong skills in monitoring and assessing student progress to drive achievement.
- Safeguarding Awareness: A thorough understanding of safeguarding policies and practices to ensure students’ well-being.
- ICT Proficiency: A creative approach to using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Professional Development: Evidence of a commitment to ongoing professional growth and training.
