Salary: £150 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in your subject area. You will create a stimulating learning environment, develop lesson plans that meet curriculum standards, and use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. Your role will also involve assessing students’ progress, providing feedback, and supporting their academic and personal development. You will work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities of Science Teacher:
- Develop and implement engaging Science lesson plans that meet curriculum standards, assessing each student’s unique needs and abilities, and setting specific learning goals.
- Teach Science lessons to students in Key Stage 3 (Ages 11-14) and Key Stage 4 (Ages 14-16).
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction tailored to students’ needs, ensuring they receive the attention and support they need to succeed.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure that each student is progressing towards their goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s education and well-being, sharing insights and strategies to support their Science knowledge development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported, encouraging positive interactions and a sense of community.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences, and making learning enjoyable and effective.
- Keep detailed records of each student’s progress, including assessments, observations, and feedback, and communicate this information to parents, support staff, and other relevant parties to ensure transparency and collaboration.
Requirements of Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Science Teacher or in a similar teaching role is essential.
- Excellent communication skills are crucial for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering positive relationships.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with all members of the school community, creating a positive and collaborative environment.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in Science.
- Show a deep commitment to helping students, exhibiting patience and empathy in interactions.
- Relevant qualifications or training in Science education (desirable but not essential).

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
