Location: Market Harborough

Contract Type: Long Term
Salary Scale: £162.31-£251.72 per day (Depending on experience)
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a vibrant school in Market Harborough, commencing January 2025. This is an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students with a creative and rigorous English curriculum.
As an English Teacher, you will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to foster a positive learning environment. You will play a pivotal role in preparing students for academic success, supporting their development, and promoting a love of literature and language.
Responsibilities of an English Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through engaging teaching strategies.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress effectively.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to support students' overall well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive and supportive school community.
Required Qualifications for an English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
