Teaching Assistant (Secondary)
Location: Market Harborough
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Salary Scale: £83.33 per day
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students in a vibrant secondary school in Market Harborough. This role is suitable for individuals passionate about enhancing students' academic and personal growth. Whether supporting classroom activities, working one-to-one with pupils, or assisting in managing behaviour, your contributions will be integral to the school’s success.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide targeted support, ensuring every child has access to high-quality education.
Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Providing tailored support to students with varying learning needs.
- Encouraging student participation and engagement.
- Maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
- Monitoring and reporting student progress to teachers.
Required Qualifications for a Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
