Job Title: PMLD/SLD/Personal Support
Location: Richmond, TW11
Salary Range: £110 per day
Start time: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you passionate about supporting students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning disabilities (SLD), and personal care needs?
Join our dedicated team in Richmond and play an essential role in ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD).
- Assist with personal care, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene, while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Support students’ physical, social, and emotional development in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging, accessible, and individualised learning activities.
- Use specialised equipment and techniques to aid mobility and communication.
- Monitor and document student progress, ensuring effective communication with staff and families.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with PMLD/SLD or in a similar care-focused role.
- Confidence in providing personal care and using mobility aids (training can be provided).
- A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude toward supporting young people with complex needs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
