Position: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Newham
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm (Monday to Friday)

What You’ll Do:
- Morning Focus: Provide specialized support to children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including those with ADHD and self-harming behaviors.
- Inclusive Learning: Help foster a warm, inclusive classroom, ensuring every child feels supported and encouraged to learn.
- Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalized interventions and support plans.
- Afternoon Flexibility: Assist across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting your approach to meet the needs of different age groups.
- Build Positive Relationships: Develop strong, caring relationships with students, helping them grow academically and emotionally.

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant is preferred.
- SEN Expertise: A solid understanding of special educational needs and safeguarding practices.
- Comfortable with Nappy Changing: Ability to assist with nappy changing as part of the role.
- Resilience & Proactivity: A proactive, resilient individual who thrives on bringing out the best in pupils.
- Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must pass all safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS.
