What You’ll Do as a Teaching Assistant in Tower Hamlets:

  • Collaborate with Teachers: Work side-by-side with classroom teachers to inspire and motivate students, helping them reach their full potential.
  • Provide Focused Support: Offer 1:1 and small group assistance to children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the individualized help they need to thrive.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experienced Candidates: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is a must.
  • SEN Expertise: You’re ready to provide 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Child Development Knowledge: A solid understanding of child development and effective support techniques.
  • Team Player: You excel at working collaboratively with teachers and staff.
  • Strong Communication: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Empathetic Listener: You have the ability to boost students' confidence and self-esteem through active listening and thoughtful interventions.

Safeguarding Notice: A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential. Successful candidates will undergo safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
