Responsibilities of a Science Teacher
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and experimentation.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative resources and lesson plans.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and promote a passion for Science.
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies in the classroom and beyond.
Requirements for a Science Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- Specialisation in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) is preferred.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- An ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
