About the role:

As a Business & Economics Teacher/Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and insightful lessons that develop students' skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for the subjects. You will design lessons that blend theoretical learning with practical applications, equipping students with the tools they need to excel academically and thrive in the real world.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons in Business Studies and Economics, aligning with the curriculum and educational standards.
  • Inspire students to explore key topics, including micro and macroeconomics, marketing strategies, financial management and entrepreneurship.
  • Employ innovative teaching techniques to engage students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and share best practices.
  • Support the preparation of students for examinations, including providing study guidance and revision sessions.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • A recognised teaching qualification, such as QTS or equivalent instructional experience.
  • A degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience teaching Business and/or Economics in any secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge, with the ability to present complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in students.

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
