Job Title: Geography Teacher/Instructor
Location: Halstead
Salary: £130-£260 per day (Depending on experience)
Start date: Immediate
Contract type: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time

As a Geography Teacher/Instructor, you will deliver engaging and informative lessons that inspire a love for the subject, enabling students to understand and appreciate the diverse and dynamic world they live in. Your role will be pivotal in developing critical thinking, analytical skills and a global perspective in students.

Responsibilities of the Geography Teacher/Instructor:

  • Teach geography to a high standard across Key Stages 3 to 5, incorporating creativity and interactive approaches to engage students.
  • Design and implement lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum, ensuring inclusivity and differentiation for all learners.
  • Foster curiosity about global issues, the environment and human geography through captivating and real-world examples.

Regularly evaluate student progress through assessments, providing constructive feedback to drive achievement.

  • Establish a supportive and structured environment conducive to effective learning.
  • Work closely with colleagues to enhance the geography department’s success and participate in extracurricular activities related to geography.

Requirements of the Geography Teacher/Instructor:

  • A recognised teaching qualification such as a QTS, or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for sharing it with students.
  • Prior teaching experience in geography at the secondary or further education level is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, organisation and the ability to inspire young minds.
  • A dedication to delivering high-quality education and promoting a positive learning experience.

  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
