Salary: £87 - £108 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant (Grad TA) to work at one of our client Secondary schools in Sunderland.
About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant for secondary school, you will support students across a variety of subjects, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress in their studies. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide in-class support, assist with small group sessions, and offer tailored help to students who need additional assistance. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain valuable classroom experience, develop your teaching skills, and make a real difference to students’ education.
Key Responsibilities of the Grad TA (Secondary):
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to secondary school students in various subjects.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and supporting students with learning activities.
- Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive, supportive learning environment.
- Encourage students to stay focused and engaged with their work, offering additional help where needed.
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources for lessons.
- Contribute to fostering an inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students are supported in their academic journey.
What We Are Looking for in a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary):
- A recent graduate with a passion for education and supporting students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with students and staff.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to assisting with learning and promoting student development.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable attitude towards students with varying learning needs.
- An interest in pursuing a career in teaching is highly desirable.

- Have an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
