Salary: £150 - £220 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are working with one of our client schools in Sunderland to find an outstanding Science Teacher who is dedicated, engaging, and ready to make an impact.

About the Role:

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students across a range of age groups. Your role will be pivotal in promoting curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject, helping students develop critical thinking skills, and preparing them for academic success. Whether you're covering day-to-day absences or taking on a longer-term role, you’ll be providing an enriching learning experience that promotes a love of science.

Key Responsibilities of the Teacher of Science:

  • Deliver engaging science lessons across key stages, ensuring students are motivated and learning effectively.
  • Create and implement effective lesson plans that align with the curriculum.
  • Provide feedback and support to students, helping them meet their learning objectives.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Encourage student participation and foster an atmosphere of curiosity and scientific inquiry.
  • Work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.

Requirements of the Science Teacher:

  • A qualified Science Teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and the ability to inspire students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
  • A proactive and engaging teaching style that encourages student participation and learning.
  • The ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • A passion for science and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
