Role: Food Technology Teacher
Location: Chesterfield
Salary Scale: £150 to £230 per day
Start Date: January 2025

Are you a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher eager to inspire creativity and practical skills in students? We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Chesterfield site, delivering engaging Food Technology lessons and fostering a love for culinary arts and nutrition.

The Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering exciting and practical lessons, inspiring students to develop their culinary skills and knowledge of nutrition. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons aligned with the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  2. Practical Skills: Encourage students to explore and develop their cooking techniques and understanding of food safety and hygiene.
  3. Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to foster improvement.
  4. Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to participate and experiment.
  5. Collaboration: Work with colleagues to enhance the Food Technology department and contribute to the broader school community.

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree or equivalent qualification in Food Technology or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 levels.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to fostering creativity and practical skills in students.
