Teaching Assistant
Location: Locks Heath
Salary Range: Hourly - £12.82 to £14.72 (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in the classroom, working alongside teachers to deliver an exceptional learning experience for all pupils. You will offer guidance and encouragement to students, fostering an inclusive and positive environment where every learner can thrive.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Collaborate with teachers to prepare engaging lesson materials and provide tailored support to individual students.
  • Assist with one-on-one and small group interventions, ensuring each child feels supported and valued.
  • Help to maintain an organised, safe and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Work closely with pupils to help them overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a culture of respect within the classroom.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and supervise students during non-teaching times, such as breaks or outings.

Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience in an educational setting, childcare, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability and the ability to build positive relationships with both students and staff.
  • A commitment to helping every child unlock their potential.
  • The ability to manage varied classroom scenarios with a calm and supportive approach.

What Do We Want From You: To thrive in these roles, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education).
