Salary Range: Hourly - £12.82 to £14.72 (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students, providing essential support to ensure a positive and effective learning experience. Your role will be varied and fulfilling, involving direct interaction with pupils, assistance with lesson preparation and a commitment to promoting a nurturing classroom environment.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Provide individual support to students, helping them to overcome learning challenges.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom or childcare setting.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine ability to connect with young people.
- Commit to helping students achieve their full potential.
- Have the flexibility to respond to the needs of a dynamic school environment.
- Have a calm and patient approach to managing diverse classroom situations.
- Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education).
