Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant
Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: £83 – £100 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time

GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch is currently looking to appoint a qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant for a Client Primary School located in Ripon, North Yorkshire, starting in January 2025.

EYFS Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools/EYFS).
  • Prior experience working within an Early Years or Nursery setting.
  • Knowledge and experience of record keeping and tracking progress of children.
  • Passionate about children’s learning and has knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn within the EYFS.
  • Experience or understanding of behaviours linked to additional needs.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one.

EYFS Teaching Assistant Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to children within Early Years following the EYFS framework.
  • Assist in the delivery of play-based learning activities, which contribute to the overall learning and development of children.
  • Support children on 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Help develop social, emotional, and physical skills through play-based learning and exploration.
  • Establish rapport and trusting relationship and communicate effectively with children and their families and carers.
