GSL Education are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in Hook. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students, helping them achieve their full potential in a positive and engaging environment.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and providing tailored support to students of all abilities. You will have the chance to work with students across a variety of key stages, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed. Whether you’re supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, your role will be integral in fostering a positive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Provide in-class support, assisting with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
- Offer targeted support to students, including those with additional needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
- Work closely with the class teacher to track student progress and contribute to lesson planning.
- Assist with the social and emotional development of students, offering guidance and encouragement.
What We Are Looking for in a TA:
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting students’ learning and well-being.
- Previous experience in a teaching assistant role or a similar position is desirable but not essential.
- A passion for working with children and supporting their academic and personal growth.
- Strong communication skills, able to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students.

- Have an up-to-date CV and two relevant references from within the last two years.
- Have an Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
