GSL Education are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in Andover.

Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant in this school, you will support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and assist students in reaching their full potential. Your work as a TA will directly contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere where students thrive academically and socially.

Your Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting classroom activities.
  • Provide individual and small group support to students, helping them understand the material and stay engaged.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment, ensuring that all students feel valued and supported.
  • Monitor students’ progress, helping them set goals and track their academic development.
  • Support the emotional and social well-being of students by offering guidance and encouragement.
  • Assist with classroom management, ensuring that students stay on task and follow school rules.
  • A genuine passion for helping students learn and succeed.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills to build relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience and empathy when working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
  • A team player who can work well with others to create a collaborative and supportive classroom.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV and two relevant references from within the last two years.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one through GSL Education.
  • Competitive hourly pay rates ranging from £12.82 - £14.72 depending on your experience.
