GSL Education are excited to offer an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in Eastleigh. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their best.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the classroom teacher and helping students engage with the curriculum. You will provide tailored assistance, either one-on-one or in small groups, to ensure that students feel confident and capable in their learning environment. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to help students thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities of the TA:
- Assist with lesson delivery and classroom activities, providing support to students as they engage with the curriculum.
- Support students with additional learning needs, ensuring they are included in lessons and make progress at their own pace.
- Encourage positive behaviour, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Assist in the preparation of resources, helping the teacher with planning and the delivery of engaging lessons.
- Support students’ social and emotional development, offering guidance and encouragement to help them become confident, independent learners.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting students and helping them reach their full potential.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
- A patient and supportive nature, understanding the unique needs of students and offering positive reinforcement to build confidence.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment where every student feels valued.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV and two relevant references from within the last two years.
- Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
