Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both the teacher and students in the classroom. You will assist with the delivery of lessons, offer one-on-one or small group support, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is keen to make a real difference in the educational experience of young people.

Key Responsibilities of the TA:

  • Provide in-class support by assisting the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Support students with varying learning needs, helping them to engage with the curriculum and make progress in their studies.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help students develop their social and emotional skills.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.
  • Help monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher as necessary.
  • You take a proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting students in their learning.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
  • You have a genuine passion for working with children and young people, and you want to help them succeed academically.
  • You are committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV and two relevant references from within the last two years.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
