About the Role:
As a TA, you will be a key part of the school’s teaching team, working closely with the classroom teacher to support students' academic and personal development. You’ll help facilitate a positive learning environment, assist students with individual learning needs, and ensure that every child is given the tools to succeed.
Key Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Provide in-class support to students, assisting with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
- Offer tailored support to students with varying learning needs, ensuring an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
- Support small groups or one-to-one students, helping them to build confidence and improve their academic skills.
- Assist with monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.
- Contribute to planning and preparing resources for lessons and activities.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to working with children and young people.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
- A passion for supporting students’ learning and development.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- A commitment to creating an environment where students feel encouraged and confident to succeed.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV and two relevant references from within the last two years.
- Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
- Competitive hourly pay rates of £12.82 - £14.72, depending on experience.
