Salary: £87 - £108 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Daily Supply, Long Term

GSL Education are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a client secondary school in Newcastle. This role is ideal for those passionate about working with young learners and seeking hands-on experience in a secondary school setting.
Role Overview:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons, provide one-on-one and small group support to students, and help create a positive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across various subjects.
- Provide personalised support to students, helping them with learning activities and encouraging their progress.
- Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, adapting to students' individual learning styles.
- Monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback to help them succeed.
- Support students during break times and extracurricular activities to foster their social and emotional development.
- Help maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating classroom environment.
Requirements:
- A recent graduate with a degree in any subject.
- Genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an adaptable approach.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
