Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-Time
GSL Education are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Lincoln.
Job Summary
Your role will be to provide targeted support to students with SEN and SEMH needs, enabling them to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This position is perfect for a caring and proactive individual eager to make a meaningful difference.
Key Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Offer tailored support to students with additional needs, ensuring they feel included and valued.
- Assist the teacher in adapting lessons to meet individual learning requirements.
- Support students in developing social skills and emotional resilience.
- Manage and encourage positive behaviour in the classroom.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with SEN/SEMH children (essential).
- A calm, understanding, and empathetic attitude.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or the ability to obtain one.
