Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Dependent on Experience)

About The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will play a crucial role in supporting students with their learning, providing tailored assistance to help them achieve their full potential. You’ll work with students across various key stages, offering one-to-one and small group support to help them overcome challenges and succeed academically.

Key Responsibilities of the Learning Support Assistant:

  • Provide in-class support to students, assisting with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
  • Offer targeted support to students with varying learning needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
  • Assist in developing personalised learning strategies to engage students with the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to monitor student progress and contribute to lesson planning.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, offering guidance and encouragement.

Requirements of the Learning Support Assistant:

  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting students' learning.
  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for working with children and young people to help them achieve their best.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • A supportive and inclusive work environment with a network of experienced educational professionals.

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV and two relevant references from within the last two years.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
