Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time / part-time

About the role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to inspire and support students in reaching their fullest academic and social potential.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist in lesson preparation and the organisation of classroom resources.
  • Provide individual and small-group support to students who may need additional help with their studies.
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and encouraging active learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to adapt lesson plans to suit varied student needs and learning styles.
  • Monitor student progress, documenting their achievements, and communicate insights with the teaching team.
  • Offer emotional and behavioural support, using compassion and patience to help students feel understood and valued.

Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • A proactive, compassionate approach to supporting students and adapting to their unique needs.
  • Ability to remain flexible and thrive in diverse classroom settings.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with both students and staff.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not essential for candidates with a passion for education and a willingness to learn.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (certification is a plus).
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
