Position: Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Grays
Salary Scale: £80-£120 
Contract Type: Full-time 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Supporting PE Lessons: Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging PE lessons, working closely with PE staff to provide guidance and encouragement to students. 

  • Mentoring Students: Serve as a role model, offering mentorship and support to students in both academic and athletic settings. Encourage positive attitudes toward fitness, teamwork, and personal growth. 

  • Leading Extracurricular Activities: Help organize and run sports clubs, teams, and after-school activities, fostering a love for sports and encouraging active participation. 

  • Classroom Assistance: Support teaching staff across subjects when required, helping students with their learning and providing additional support in classroom activities. 

  • Event Coordination: Assist with the planning and execution of school sports events, competitions, and tournaments, ensuring a positive experience for all participants. 

  • Individual Support: Work one-on-one with students who may benefit from additional support, helping them develop confidence and resilience through sports and academics. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Sports Degree: A recent degree in sports science, physical education, or a related field is essential. 

  • Passion for Sports and Education: Enthusiasm for promoting a healthy, active lifestyle and a desire to make a positive impact on young lives. 

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with students and work collaboratively with staff members. 

  • Teamwork: A cooperative mindset and willingness to work within a supportive educational team.
