Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S9)
Salary: £150 - £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Full-time, Temporary/Permanent
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Sheffield, starting in January 2025.
Role Overview:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students, helping them develop their mathematical skills and confidence. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the students' learning journey while working within a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic Maths lessons for students, covering a variety of topics from algebra to geometry.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
- Provide effective feedback and assessment to track student progress and support their development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Prepare students for exams, ensuring they feel confident in their abilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the Maths curriculum is engaging and relevant.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent degree specialisation in Maths Education.
- A degree in Maths or a closely related subject.
- Previous experience teaching Maths in schools is preferred, though NQTs are also welcome to apply.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for teaching and motivating students in Maths.
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
