Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Boston.
In this pivotal role as a SEN TA, you will work closely with students requiring additional support, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide individual and small group support to students with SEN, ensuring they engage with learning tasks effectively.
- Assist in implementing Individual Healthcare Plans (IHCPs) and Education, Care, and Support Plans (ECPs) tailored to each student's specific needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and SENCOs.
- Help to create and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
- Support students in managing their emotions and behaviour, promoting positive interactions.
- Assist with the physical and personal care needs of students, where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with external professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to deliver targeted support.
- Promote an inclusive environment, ensuring all students feel valued and supported.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3 or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistance or Childcare is desirable.
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is advantageous.
- Previous experience as a SEN TA or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability.
- A passion for helping students with additional needs overcome challenges.
