Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in Lincoln to support students in their learning journey. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other specialists in providing targeted support to students who face learning challenges. As an SEN TA, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing their confidence, developing their skills, and fostering a positive learning environment.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of tailored learning plans for students with SEN.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support during classroom activities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere to promote student engagement.
- Work closely with teachers to monitor and report on student progress.
- Apply behaviour management strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Support the overall well-being and personal development of the students.
- Help maintain a positive classroom environment, encouraging active participation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3 or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistance or Childcare is advantageous.
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- Knowledge of SEN conditions such as autism, ADHD, or specific learning difficulties etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with additional needs.
