As a Psychology Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in developing students' analytical and critical thinking skills, while guiding them through the complexities of psychological theories and practices. As a Psychology Teacher, your role will include:
- Delivering engaging and insightful lessons on psychology that ignite curiosity and encourage independent thought.
- Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons tailored to the needs of students.
- Encouraging students to think critically and analyse psychological concepts and case studies.
- Monitoring and assessing students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Creating an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and motivated to participate.
- Supporting students in achieving their academic and personal goals, including preparation for exams.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share resources and best practices to enrich the psychology curriculum.
To be considered for the Psychology Teacher role, you must:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification (such as QTLS or PGCE). Overseas-trained teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Have a degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Experience teaching Psychology is preferred, though applications from Early Career Teachers are welcome.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a passion for engaging students in learning.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and dedicated to providing quality education.
