Job Title: Design Technology Teacher (Resistant Materials)
Location: South Manchester
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (M1-UPS3 Pay scale) (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are seeking a passionate and skilled Design Technology Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials to join our dynamic team in South Manchester, starting in January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and shape the minds of students in South Manchester.
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons focusing on Resistant Materials, fostering creativity and innovation among students. You will be part of a supportive department committed to academic excellence and the personal growth of every student.
Responsibilities of the Design Technology Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Design Technology with an emphasis on Resistant Materials.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve teaching strategies and resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and school events.
Requirements of the Design Technology Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Specialisation or significant experience in teaching Resistant Materials.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
