Job Title: MFL Teacher (Modern Foreign Languages)
Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

GSL Education are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL (Modern Foreign Language) Teacher to join a welcoming School in Southampton starting in January, 2025.
As a MFL Teacher, you will deliver engaging language instruction while creating a vibrant and supportive environment that inspires students to develop their linguistic skills and embrace global perspectives!
Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive MFL curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to develop their language skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Organise and oversee language-related activities and cultural events to enhance students’ understanding of MFL.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements of the MFL Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching MFL at the secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching MFL.
- Relevant qualifications or training in MFL education (desirable but not essential).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
