As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting teachers and students, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in education while making a difference in the lives of young learners in Weymouth!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, providing one-on-one support to students, and facilitating group activities.
  • Work with students who may require additional assistance due to learning difficulties, language barriers, or other special needs.
  • Support the maintenance of a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting good behaviour and managing classroom dynamics.
  • Help prepare teaching materials, set up equipment, and organise classroom resources to enhance learning experiences for students.
  • Assist in the assessment of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and supporting students in achieving their learning goals.

Qualifications and Requirements -

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of special education needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education
