As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you will play a central role in guiding and inspiring students during this crucial stage of their education. Your responsibilities will include delivering engaging and challenging lessons, creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment, and contributing to the holistic development of our Year 5 students. Position: Year 5 Class Teacher 
Location: South Ockendon
Salary Scale: £125-£230 
Contract Type: Full-time 
 
Responsibilities: 
 

  • As a Year 5 Class Teacher you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students, preparing them for their transition to Year 6/SATs. 

  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love for learning. 

  • As a Year 5 Class Teacher you will assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents. 

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum activities. 

  • As a Year 5 Class Teacher you will build positive relationships with students and contribute to their social and emotional development. 

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay informed about educational innovations. 

 
Qualifications and Skills: 
 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. 

  • Proven experience as a Class Teacher, preferably in a KS2 setting. 

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to the holistic development of students.
