As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, creating an inclusive learning environment, and helping students develop their mathematical skills. Your enthusiasm for teaching will inspire students to excel, build confidence, and deepen their understanding of key mathematical concepts.
Key Responsibilities as a Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging maths lessons that are aligned with the curriculum and cater to the needs of all learners.
- Foster a positive learning environment, promoting student participation, engagement, and a love for mathematics.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students at various levels, ensuring that all learners are challenged and supported appropriately.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies, resources, and best practices to enhance the teaching of maths.
- Support the social and emotional development of students, creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Act as a positive role model and inspire students to achieve excellence in maths and beyond.
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in maths and a passion for teaching the subject to secondary-aged students.
- Holding QTS is mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Organised and adaptable, with the ability to differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
- A commitment to student success, with a desire to make a lasting impact on the academic and personal development of students.
- An understanding of safeguarding and the ability to contribute to a safe and supportive school environment.
