As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering lessons, assist students with their coursework, and provide tailored academic and personal support to help them succeed. Key Responsibilities as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Post 16):
- Support teachers in delivering lessons and activities tailored to post-16 students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with coursework, revision, and study skills.
- Assist students in improving their independent learning abilities, such as time management, organisation, and goal setting.
- Help students prepare for exams, assessments, and key milestones in their education.
- Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and adapting support where necessary.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, helping students build confidence and stay motivated throughout their studies.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment, ensuring every student receives the support they need.
- A recent graduate looking for a career in education or student support.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate post-16 students.
- A patient and proactive approach, with a focus on helping students achieve their full potential.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team with teaching staff and other school professionals.
- Passionate about supporting young adults in their academic and personal development.
