Working Hours: 08:30 am to 3:45 pm (Monday to Friday)

About the Role:
We are looking for a committed and passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant to support wonderful students at a primary school in Tower Hamlets. In this role, you will collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to provide personalized assistance to children with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant in this exceptional Tower Hamlets school, you will:
- Provide focused support in the mornings for students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including those with ADHD diagnoses and potential self-harming behaviors.
- Offer essential afternoon assistance, with the flexibility to work across Key Stages 1 and 2 as needed.
- Use your expertise to foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment that meets the unique needs of each student.
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement individualized support plans and interventions.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development.

What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role, is preferred.
- A proactive, resilient individual who upholds high standards and strives to bring out the best in pupils.
- Willingness to assist with nappy changing as needed.
- A strong commitment to putting the needs of children first, with a focus on addressing individual special educational needs.
- Solid understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
