Salary: £80 - £100 per day

Working Hours: 08:30 am to 3:45 pm (Monday to Friday)

About the Role:
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide essential support to students in a vibrant primary school in Tower Hamlets. You will play a key role in ensuring that children with diverse learning needs receive the personalized support they require for a fulfilling educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant in this outstanding Tower Hamlets school, you will:
- Provide focused morning support for students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including those diagnosed with ADHD and potential self-harming behaviors.
- Offer vital afternoon assistance, with the flexibility to work across Key Stages 1 and 2 as needed.
- Leverage your expertise to foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement individualized support plans and interventions.
- Build positive relationships with students, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development.

What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Willingness to assist with nappy changing when necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications and/or training in education, SEN, or child development are highly desirable.
