Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 08:30 am to 3:45 pm (Monday to Friday)

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to become a key member of our vibrant school community. In this role, you’ll work closely with our committed team of educators to ensure students with special educational needs receive the support and care they deserve, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Morning Support: Provide focused assistance to students with SEMH needs, including those with ADHD and possible self-harming behaviors.
- Afternoon Flexibility: Offer adaptable support to students across Key Stages 1 and 2, tailoring your approach to meet their unique educational requirements.
- Foster a Nurturing Environment: Use your skills to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where every child feels valued and encouraged to succeed.
- Collaborative Approach: Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement individualized support plans and interventions.
- Build Positive Relationships: Cultivate strong, positive connections with students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

SEN TA Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
- Team Player: Ability to work well within a team, while also being able to take initiative and work independently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications and/or training in education, SEN, or child development are desirable.
A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential for this role. Successful candidates will need to pass all necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
