Maths Teacher

Location: Alnwick

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term; Part-time / Full-time

Salary Scale: £151.87 - £213.36 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join one of our client schools in Alnwick. You will play a crucial role in inspiring students to explore and excel in mathematics, supporting them in developing essential skills and confidence. The position requires a proactive approach, effective classroom management, and a commitment to continuous learning.

As a Maths Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and contribute to a positive and structured learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with students and staff, fostering academic growth and maintaining high educational standards.

Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons in line with curriculum standards
  • Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support and develop best practices
  • Maintain open communication with parents and carers regarding student progress

Required Qualifications for a Maths Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Proven teaching experience, preferably in UK schools
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new check
