As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide high-quality learning support, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed. You will assist in delivering engaging lessons, working with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, and helping to create an inclusive classroom where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the teacher in delivering lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to the needs of all students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, especially those who need extra help with specific tasks or subjects.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and foster a productive classroom environment where students feel safe, motivated, and valued.
  • Prepare classroom materials and resources to support lesson activities.
  • Track student progress, providing feedback to teachers on how students are responding to different learning strategies.
  • Contribute to the school’s overall positive atmosphere, working collaboratively with staff to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

What We’re Looking for in the Teaching Assistant:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role in an educational setting is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to meeting the diverse needs of students.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to contributing to an inclusive, supportive school culture.
