As a Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed. Your role will involve assisting with the delivery of engaging lessons, providing individual and group support, and helping maintain an environment where every student feels valued, motivated, and able to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

  • Support teachers in delivering interactive and inclusive lessons that engage all students.
  • Provide individual or small-group support to students who require extra assistance or are working at different learning levels.
  • Help to create and maintain a positive classroom environment where students feel supported, respected, and motivated.
  • Assist with the preparation of classroom materials, resources, and activities to enhance the learning experience.
  • Monitor student progress and provide teachers with feedback on the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Promote good behaviour and assist in maintaining a focused, disciplined, and productive classroom atmosphere.

What We’re Looking for in the Teaching Assistant:

  • A genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to helping students with diverse needs.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to the varying demands of the classroom.
  • A team player who is committed to contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
