SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Fareham
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time
Salary Scale: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ individual learning needs, working closely with teaching staff to implement personalised learning strategies. This position is ideal for candidates with a passion for making a positive impact on students’ educational journeys.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting individual students or small groups to ensure they engage with lesson activities
- Assisting with the development and implementation of personalised learning plans
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support student learning
- Promoting a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports student wellbeing
Required Qualifications for an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in an educational setting
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students thrive
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school staff
- Understanding of safeguarding practices and child protection policies
