GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming school in Winchester. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping students overcome challenges and reach their potential in a positive, engaging classroom environment.
About the Role:
In this role, you’ll assist teachers in creating an inspiring learning atmosphere, working with individual students and small groups to provide focused support. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll help manage classroom behaviour, prepare learning resources, and encourage students to engage fully in their studies.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Offering individual and small group support to enhance student learning.
- Supporting teachers in preparing materials and maintaining an organised classroom.
- Assisting with behaviour management to create a productive learning space.
- Building strong relationships with students to foster confidence and academic success.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Prior experience in a similar role or educational setting is a plus.
- While not essential, qualifications like NVQ Level 2/3 or CACHE Level 2/3 are preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and encouraging approach to student support.
- A commitment to making a difference in children’s lives.
