Salary Range: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are on the lookout for a compassionate and skilled Autism Specialist to join a dedicated and vibrant school in Lincoln.
About the role:
As an Autism Specialist, your role will focus on supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their educational and social development.
Responsibilities of the Autism Specialist:
- Specialised Support: Provide targeted assistance to students with Autism, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their individual needs.
- Progress Monitoring: Track the progress of students, offering feedback to teachers and parents to ensure that they are reaching key developmental milestones.
- Emotional Support: Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, offering emotional guidance to help students manage their anxieties and sensory sensitivities.
- Communication: Maintain strong lines of communication with teachers, parents, and professionals involved in each student's education, ensuring a holistic approach to their development.
- Promoting Inclusion: Encourage a sense of belonging for students with Autism, promoting social integration and inclusivity within the school community.
Requirements of the Autism Specialist:
- Previous experience working with individuals with Autism or in a similar role (SEN/ABA experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and associated behavioural strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals.
- Relevant certifications or training in Autism support is an advantage.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
