Job Title: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant
Location: Lincoln
Salary Range: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: ASAP

Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a meaningful difference in their early education journey? If so, GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to join our vibrant team in Lincoln.

About the role:
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral role in nurturing and supporting young children during their early educational experiences. Your focus will be to provide tailored assistance to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the guidance and encouragement needed to thrive in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities of the EYFS TA:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Assist in planning and implementing activities that stimulate children's learning and development.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with SEN, fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Observe, assess, and document children's progress and development, contributing to the planning of their educational pathways.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive, safe, and productive atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents/carers, and external professionals to provide cohesive support tailored to individual needs.
  • Encourage social and emotional growth by modelling appropriate interactions and guiding children through social situations.

Requirements of the EYFS TA:

  • Experience working in an EYFS setting, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and learning strategies.
  • Proven SEN experience with the ability to adapt teaching methods and provide specialised support.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate, or similar educational background.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to work effectively with young learners.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Creativity and flexibility to meet the dynamic needs of an EYFS classroom.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
